In the same parking lot as numerous other woman have been in the recent few years. But a guy came up behind her while she was heading home for lunch yesterday punched her in the face so bad the lens in her glasses shattered and she suffered a black eye with some scratches from the lens breaking.... So shes pretty much blind until we can get her some new glasses at a reasonable price.

[I talked about this more with the news channel today]

I've counted, 54 robbery/theft, 29 strong arm robberies (make that 30 now), 5 assault with a deadly weapons. 2 stabbings 1 shooting and 1 abduction & 2 counts of rape (same case, two guys abducted a girl and later raped her mutliple times) in this same parking garage and surrounding parking lot area in the past few years.

Well for some reason the Simon property group despite 4 personal injury lawsuits being filed against them still haven't installed cameras in the parking garage area or overlooking the parking lots.

So i've made this petition to give to the simon property group to let them know that people REALLY want cameras installed in the garage and parking area.

I'd hope those of you with facebook accounts could give me a like or two so i can start to drum up support. I've also found one of the previous victims but shes unable to talk or like or support any sort of action against the mall and the SMP. (she signed a NDA in exchange for a settlement....lol)

Well I'm not in it for the money, I just want this s@#t to change so my girl and the rest of the 1,000's of people don't have to fear for her life when she goes to work or heads home.

Because we lifted a print off of the jeep, But a picture or video would be nice to help with finding the guy, especially if you could follow him and see where he went, or what sort of car he drove.....and a video of him in the act would be a smoking gun in a court room.

But all we have right now is a hand print and a description from a frightened girl whos been rendered practically blind.

So...dim's slim potatoes.

eyesmart gave us a discount eye exam and pair of temp contacts at a discount until we can scrounge up enough for the 300~400$ glasses.

BTW: Keep track of your expenses to make things right again. This includes the cost of gas and $.45 a mile for wear and tear.

IF they catch the scum that did this, they can make sure that you are compensated for your loss.

You can also deduct these expenses on your taxes. (in most cases, but talk with your tax person first)

I really hope your girlfriend is OK. Give her a big group hug for all of us.

you know honestly the cost of the glasses and all that i don't care about. whatever money is money.

But damn, when you've got woman and kids being assaulted out in a parking lot, and the place refuses to install security camera's dispite employees getting mugged and robbed, and all of the people in the mall saying " I don't feel safe walking out there"

That is a problem, and i'm going to light a fire under SPG's ass to get these cameras installed.

I understand. Money is not the main issue here. Preventing these attacks is. Secondary is catching the guys responsible and bringing them to justice. Part of that justice is making sure they are accountable for everything they have put you through.

I'll post an update when I hear about what he has to say.

Good luck to you with this, hope the scumbag gets nabbed.

Maybe you could get a few of these and bolt em where ever you can reach until real cameras get installed. Often perceived security is enough to deter someone from doing something

Sorry to hear about your significant other. It is too bad simon does not support second amendment rights it makes them an easy target for criminals as obviously they don't follow the law.

Put in a like on FB, best of luck to you in getting cameras installed. Glad to hear that she's okay, no one should have to feel unsafe at their workplace.

Good luck brudda! I'd be foaming at the mouth if I was you.

Not sure how hard it is in the OKC to get a concealed carry permit, but if you two can, I suggest it. Along with training courses. Call me old school or paranoid, but I stand behind the best way to stop muggings is to have eyes in the back of your head, and a holster you can use quick. If someone approaches, let them know you are armed, and what your intentions are if they proceed any closer.

For any anti-gun folk...

"Cum catapultae proscriptae erunt tum soli proscripti catapultas habebunt"
Translated- "When catapults are outlawed, only outlaws will have catapults"

At the very least I would highly suggest having her leave in pairs, or have security escort her out to her car. When my Sister worked at a mall the rent-ah-cops would do this. They have nothing better to do (So it seems...).
