My mousepad is kind of... nasty (full desk matt, hence the problem) is there any way to clean them? Can i throw it in the washing machine without damaging it? any help is appreciated

I'd say dishwasher should be fine if it can fit, but . . . other than that I would say do it by hand with a soap solution and a scrubber.
What kind of material is it made out of? Usually the manufacturer will provide cleaning instructions if it needs something special.

if its that kind that's fabric on top with the rubber base.....
DO NOT MACHINE WASH IT AT ALL OR YOU'LL OPEN UP THE MACHINE TO DISCOVER YOUR MOUSE PAD IS NOW TWO PIECES.
Learned that one the hard way with my favorite mouse pad.........
I usually just gently wash it in the sink with a mild detergent like some hand soap (dont use dish soap or it'll bubble up and leave a film that usually just acts as a catalyst for more grud build up), then hang it up over night to let it air dry.

alright. thanks guys. lol... its the xtrax xxl pad... i love having a desktop mat... I'll be washing it before the lan i guess.
According to this review it's machine washable (ie, washing machine, not dish washer).
