So i'm sure a couple of you remember my thread in the past about railworks, well about a year and a half later I'm about to the point where I could make a release of my map, But anyways here is a preview and It's got some f@#k ups in it as well (challenger locomotives don't exactly have good brakes as it turns out)

Interesting! Kind of odd with the tracks suspended in midair at the end, but still pretty cool.

Still in beta stages.
I'm only one guy doing the work of like whats supposed to be 10.
It'll all be suspension bridges at the end, (the part where you roll over the very top of the mountain) I've just got to set those expansion pack add ons up before i can start using them.
My idea for the loop-de-loop at the end would be to make some sort of pillar that your roll down along the outside edge if thats what your meaning though.

I waited in eager anticipation for the train to slowly work it's way to the spiral, hoping that it would zoom downwards at break neck speed. It did not.
But then it fell and I was somewhat satisfied.
Is this game more about building the tracks or driving the trains? I don't know if i could sit and drive trains, but i suppose it's not much different from playing a flight sim.

um its actually just supposed to be about driving trains and doing the things you do on trains.
Me?
I build the maps and try to make the trains as long as possible.
and man in begineer mode you can make that train haul a@# around that loop, but its not nearly as fun.
I've actually yet to get a steam locomotive all the way up the mountain, its just too steep of a grade, as you can see the challenger steam engine was having trouble making it up and i went to add some helper diesels, but hey there weren't any truck brakes on them rail cars hahahahhaha.

I didn't realize there was that much to it. So i assume the physics are pretty spot on? Can you have like, derailments and stuff if you don't drive it right? Do you get to pick all the car's in the train or just the engine and then like X number of generic cars.
Watching this makes me want to go to the train yard up in Scranton and see all the historic engines now lol.

oh yup detrailment, consist tilts, wheels jumpin track whole nine yards, the cars and trains even bob and bounce on the rails. 100% realistic physx.
yup you can pick and choose cars when you want, drop some off, add some on. Theres no limit to the length of the train you want either, stack a s@#t load of diesels together and theres no reason why you can't have a 5 mile train.
The only real limit I can see is.... How dank is your processor, and can you render the physx for 5 mile worth of box cars getting bounced and pulled around.
cars even go POW-POW-POW-POWPOWPOWPOWPOWPWOW together when you stop and change directions
