Hey all. I have a laptop that's connected to a LAN connection and I really want to get my iPod touch connected. Is it possible to take the internet connection going in to the laptop and share it through the wifi?

I'm running Windows XP professional. I was going to try bridging the connections but i think that only works the other way around.

Thanks for the replies guys. I actually reconsidered... The computer i was going to use was one of the laptops at work. They recently locked down the wifi because they get upset when we use our phones on the wifi. I decided against it because most people who use the work laptops for creative purposes get fired shortly there after.

you should be able to bridge connections, and set up your laptop as ad-hoc.

not 100% on this because I've not really worked with computers in about 2 years, but it seems to me like it would work.

Bridging would mean, based on Lucius's circumstance, connect an external device either directly or indirectly to a work related asset, regardless of the creativity :D it would still could get them canned...if it is not authorized as part of their asset management policy...
