It's such a great deal. I'm getting a GTX 480 Amp! edition from Zotac for $260. It's on clearance at work and it seems stupid not to get it, even though I have ZERO use for it. The lifetime warranty means that in a year or so I can maybe trade it in for a GTX 580.

Nice. Do you get good employee discounts on video cards at work normally?

There's only one in stock and since it's already so discounted I do not get an additional employee discount. Most cards, I'd be lucky to get a 10% discount on

I remember from my Microcenter days that there isn't typically much markup on hardware, and since employee price was a slight markup over cost, it wasn't much of a discount below retail. But, for things like USB cables the employee price was a lot better. Still, sometimes I could find great clearance deals (I once picked up the store's last Epson 2200 printer, demo model from the Mac dept. that had hardly been used) for....I think it was under $100 for a printer originally priced at $600+. Granted, this was several years after it had been new, but it was a fantastic deal. Still have it :) Don't really use it anymore though (ran out of wall space LOL)
