Can we make it so that the xspc add isn't clickable outside of maybe the logo area? i keep accidently clicking in the black space off to the side and jumping to the XSPC page when i don't want to. It's making me want to run adblock on tbcs

lol, I know. I decided to try it but I think it's going to drive people nuts. I also considered finding a way to limit the area but if we can't do that I think we will have to lose the linkability. Be patient, we'll see what we can do about it.

hahahah, by all means, punch away. No, I realize it's going to be too much if we can't find a way to limit the hyperlinked area. It won't be right away I'm sure, but we won't leave you like this for ever. Promise.

I like the way the ad space is used. It's fairly unobtrusive. I think ScriptNo on Chrome has eliminated the linking though. This is far better than some banners slapped all over the place.

Its on both sides of the page SOC. You may have your adblocker enabled.

I see it now - but I swear it wasn't before lol - I don't use any kind of adblocker - I know the sites I use need the revenue and once in a blue moon I actually see an ad for something useful!

I know the sites need revenue. However, after AV 2010 infected my computer (via a rogue ad on a very legit forum), and how annoying they sometimes get (blinking, pop-up[-within-page(-on-hover)] ads), I rarely disable my blocker.

We disabled the clickable background as it was obviously causing issues. Thanks for bearing with us patiently, I think we will have to replace it with a side banner ad instead if we can't find a way to make only the logo area linkable. Sorry for the trouble

Use an empty link, set it to display:block and absolutely position it from the centre container and it will stay in the right place. Just remember that absolutely positioned elements get their position in relation to the nearest parent that's positioned, or if there isn't one, the window.

Or set the background image to background-attachment:fixed and then you can just set the link to position:fixed and it'll always be in the right position. You'll need to set it to left:50% and use a minus left margin to keep it in the right position in relation to the centre container...

I like the new add in the side bar. Thanks Admin team!

Since we are advertising for them, will we see some gear? or is it strictly advertising money?

I tried clicking on the banner on the right, and it just lead me to the new posts search option. Not that I am complaining, but I think the point is to lead to the xspc's site, no? :D

...It takes you to whatever page you're on.
Be it the index, current thread, UCP....

It is a rotating banner and all the images are linked to pages on their site, it changes every 8-10 seconds (can't remember which). Strangely though, it seems that the first 8-10 second segment is like a null phase and it does link to the index. I'm looking into how to correct that but otherwise it seems to work. As for whether you will see some gear, I hope so.

Yes, the first links here. The rest work.
