I don't trust myself with a DSLR. Afraid I might slip and knock it over somehow.

I made a foam case for it, with all my telescope lenses barlows adapters, caps filters and crap like that. (well the important ones)
It's crazy that the shutter is in the lens, and not on the frame lol.

I'm thinking it was the branches swaying in the wind for that 8 seconds while the camera focused on the that lil branch on the white tree.
Pretty neat looking though.
Nice shot! I just got a Canon T3i last month. DSLR's are awesome.

Man i looked hard at full frame SLR's but...they're...just... to damn heavy to put on the end of the telescope, and keep the telescope balanced but keep it free swaying on the mount. This things 9.8 ounces w/ battery pack + the lens weight and the touch screen i'm thinking will be hilariously handy while its on the end of a telescope.
Another nifty feature is the micro four thirds lens diameter, is the exact diameter of the focuser on my telescope.
http://i39.tinypic.com/wcmer7.jpg
I'm sure the full size SLR's shoot better pictures, but this one was supposedly the best micro SLR on the market, and coming up off a semi crappy Point and shoot camera. I think it's an awesome 1st time SLR camera. It's got everything I need, and it'll double as a awesome 1080p HD camera for my youtube videos from here on out =)
[edit] oh heres my box.

Nice setup! I really want to get the telescope out and find some kind of adapter, but it would have to be huge. Here's a shot I took with a 75-300mm lens at 300mm. The camera was on a tripod, but it was REALLY windy that night. Nothing was done in post, this is straight out of the camera, just cropped a little.

oh' fabricating my own cause one didnt exist and I've gotta fab one for this micro four thirds lens to cause one doesn't exist either.
But you can see my focus diameter is the same as my lens size, so i've just got to thread a counter lock style into a piece of 52mm aluminum or i'm thinking plastic.
Maybe i'll make it a misc thread or something.

Got some prints of the new cameras photos... lol leaps and bounds better. 8x10's are nooo problem. I could probably do a 24x20 or something lol
I took this in a pitch black shed, with a LED flash light i held in multiple spots over a 50 second exposure.

Light painting. If you run the light quickly up and down, and scan it back and forth, it'll even out the lighting a bit more and be less splotchy. I just learned that myself. I'm just getting into light painting. It's a ton of fun.

I Figured i'd get one of those 8 section 5x7 frames and do a full lunar phase across it.
Calendars are only good for a year, but people keep pictures forever sometimes, and if a few of my photos still happen to be hanging out on someones wall after I die well then... mission accomplished.

I have a few photos from calendars framed and hanging around the house. calendars don't always last only a year ;)
Actually I may be asking you for one of your photos at some point. Should be able to help you accomplish your mission :P
I already have some huge black and white canvas prints on my walls and I am always interested in another. However the two in my room currently are water scenes another would be nice if you wouldn't mind.

Sure but i don't really "plan" pictures out, so if i ever happen to take some photographs of water then i'll shoot you a PM.
Also.... what sorta water, like a river? or a lake or some rapids something along those lines?

That would be sweet thanks.
Anything with a pier in it if it ever so happens, would be great.
