Video Editing Software

I am looking for some windows compatibe software to edit a movie. I want to be able to import a movie and have the six seperate tracks viewable and editable (mute, move the placement of the sound, delete certain chunks all together). I of course also want to be able to edit the video portion as well.

I also am hoping for kinda cheap. $150 max. Freeware would be the best.

There's supposedly 2 good movie editting packages: The big boy, Adobe Premier, and the underdog, Ulead video studio. At least last time i checked...last year...

Try Windows Movie Maker, I guess it has all what you mentioned, user friendly, and all-around OK. Of course, for free!

Lol, 150$ for program ? i would find this program on net and use it *full version for free)-ofc i didnt say that:)
