Painting a Rad unit

Hey, I bought an Aquagate Mini 80 for a previous project and am actually going to use it on one that I just started today. I noticed that the castings on the end tanks are teh suck, and I want to smooth them out, but I'm unsure of the best method. Can someone help a brotha out? :D

Also, if anyone knows how I can mod an aquagate mini 80 (want to change out hoses), please let me know.

I would bondo everything smooth (but just on the ends, as bondo is bad for thermal conductivity) use only enough to smooth it out. Switch to spot putty (also called glazing putty, The stuff made by bondo not TAP (that's for installing windows!)) for the pin hole and touch up. then check this thread for paint and prep!http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2858
