Hi , I'm here with my new project Hi-Tek armoured case
Is a Thematic mod , inspired in games like Crysis 2 and MGS 4 , the main
idea is to develop a computer armoured with the technology of
nannosuite 2 and Snake armoursuite
Let's start with the side panel design (basic)
http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/7842/1002496small.jpg
I made this pieces in MDF (1/2 inch) to get the desire shape
First the cuts

Every piece must be worked manually to get it into shape
Example

Nice. Similar to the technique I'm using on a new mod.

New updates
After a lot of fails , material and different process test`s , finally I get some good results.
Stop wood work and try something else
Real use of the wood pieces , vaccum forming
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h458/Diegojavbau/100_2701.jpg
cut of the single pieces
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h458/Diegojavbau/100_2702.jpg
I choose to make the pieces one-by-one because all of the fail was trying to make entire panels , it can be done , but I don't like the quality of the results
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h458/Diegojavbau/100_2703.jpg
Preview , I hope to get better quality in the final pieces
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h458/Diegojavbau/100_2706.jpg
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h458/Diegojavbau/100_2708.jpg
http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h458/Diegojavbau/100_2709.jpg
To make this pieces , I have to build my own home-made vacuum forming machine , that explain the lack of updates

Very very cool. I liked the wood pieces before, but vacuum forming makes so much sense. Great work!

I would raise the wood parts on some coins, vacuum form the plastic over them, then leave the wood inside. Will make mounting easier, and will make the plastic stronger.
Looks like fun. I need to build myself a vacuum forming rig one of these days.

I would raise the wood parts on some coins,
They are raised over ice cream sticks :)

Yes , the idea is glue the pieces togheter to make the side panel using a specific glue for this material , that weld the plastic
