nice looking board.

with the improvements and time pci-e has been out, you think they could get past the x4 and x8 pci-e though. lol

There have been a few boards in the past with integrated waterblocks. That one looks pretty nice though.

As for the pci-e, those are pci-e 3.0, so while they are x8, and x4, the increased bandwidth and lower overhead puts them at roughly the same speed as pci-e 2.0 x16 and x8. That shouldn't be a bottleneck at all, but at least there is still room to scale up to x16 if it does become one, though not in that board specifically.

Dumb question I know, but what is the thing sticking up behind the water block and next to the I/O panel?

Is that the mPCI slot with wifi card that was mentioned? Is it like what they put in laptops?

Edit: Google mPCI and one of the first images was this board with an arrow pointing to the object in question. Question answered lol. Kind of cool though to have built in wifi like this. mSSD sounds nice to, assuming that means mico solid state drive.

lets hope it's not aluminum, though it likely is.

RoG=Asus=Memories of PIII board=Board that would randomly NOT boot up, OR install drivers fully.
