Looking for some Ideas !!!

well first off my name is chris
I am from the Atlanta area...

I am going to do some minor moding soon...
Haven't done much in the past but paint, and lights(the normal Noob Stuff)...
not looking to do anything major, just yet either...

I want to put a window in the side panel and blow hole on top...

I have Been googling cases to get some ideas, but not much help...
all new cases seem to have the same deisigns...
I want original (custom)...
I like: Flames, Dragons, Suns, Tribal, Evil, Dark, ect...
got a link to some cool case windows...

they are list, of list of mods, there is a wide variety. Should give you some good ideas.

But like you said you want original.
come up with an idea maybe even SketchUp (http://sketchup.google.com/index.html) it out. post us a picture or a desription of your idea and we can help with ideas on how to implement your design.

thanx, first time i picked up an air brush in 15 years...

and my next idea, is close to the same...
Picture the black areas cut out to allow light to shine through...
something like that anyway, but i have the vented areas to contend with...

You could harness some ancient chinese dremel techniques and cut out your original tribal design in the side (obviously not just a dremel, a really fine saw and some needle files and a bucket load of patience) it can be done, nothings impossible, i once saw the mortal kombat dragon cut into the side of a case once. Back it with some dark perspex and light it from behind, im thinking blue uv reactive perspex, that would be a LOT of hard and inticate work but it would be well worh it for the end result as it would look awasome!

If your not that handy with a dremel you could ship it to the guy with the laser cutting machine (see other topics) the advantage of that would be it would be perfectly cut and you could preserve most of the intricate detail of the original design,

So, he won't cut your case or panel.

guess you could just get the desgn on a seperate piece of sheet metal (.25"(~6mm) Mild Steel - 100% would be good) and then attach that to the case over a cut out section.
