I think you do care because we could have you waste lots of money. Also really need 8 threads? If not save $100 and go for a 2500k and a cheap but good mini to pair the asrock z68 extreme 3.

Which i7 too? if you have an x58 chip (like the i7-920, 960, etc) its not going to work in those boards linked. lol
