Hello everybody and wellcome to my second project.

I started this worklog at bit-tech and I thought it was a good idea to post it here.
It is a sff case, 350x460x325(WxLxH) mm . It's going to be made out of 2mm steel and 3mm red plexiglass.
Most of the parts are going to be laser cut because I want them to have perfect cuts and I'm not so good on metal working. It's going to be powder cloated in black or in white or maybe raw metal,I haven't choosed yet.
This case will be watercooled but only on the most important components: cpu, gpu and north-bridge.
It's called Neophyte from my favorite DJ :banana:
This one is going to be built pretty fast since they are praticly no piece I have to make myself.
And I'm also looking for sponsors.

For the hardware I'm going to use :

INTEL Core 2 Quad Q9450
Asus P5E-VM mATX
4 gig of ddr2 pc6400
an 9600 gt
an 750w corsair psu
and two 320gig hdds

I will use EK water block, koolance or aqua-computer but I'm not sure yet, and a zern reservoir.
It will have a koolance 360 radiator mounted on the top and a small laing pump.

Today I went to the lasercut shop and picked up my steel.

10 kg of steel :D

Update 2
26-03-2008

today I finished the rear panel and I decided that the case will be powder coated.
first i needed a m-atx tray but the only one I could find was at performance-pcs,(and I didn't want to play 130 dollar to get one) so i had to make my own.

I toke an atx tray from my current computer (lian-li v1100).
And I fastened it on the rear part of the case :

and this morning my motherboard also came in ! :)

The tray was to big so i cuted it, and put the mobo in place :

today I made one of the front panel.

29-03-2008

I wanted to post this update yesterday but i couldn't find my camera.
Anyway yesterday I made the top panel and the side panel. I'm going to let the photos speak for them self :lol:

yesterday I could make some modding.

first I glued the part together but I realized that it didn't work soo I welded it instead.
My neighbor has a hell of of a welding machine so he helped me out !

today I tried to fix a design error (the motherboard tray was sitting to high), so i tried to bend 2mm steel, but that was a complete disaster ! :wallbash:
So I just had to throw it away.

First I cut two pieces of 2mm aluminium with a jigsaw and drilled some hole :

then I removed the paint that was on them :

after I fasten a L shaped piece of alu to it :

then I had to cut off 5 mm(or it would have been to high) so I mounted the dremel cutting disk on my drill :dremel:

UPDATE 10
20.04.08

today I recieved a small pacadge that I ordered last week.
10 LEDs, resistors, and led holders.

So I mounted 6 of them inside the case.

it's made out of 1mm stainless-steel and held it to the drive with two m3 screws.

Hello all,

I have a good and a half bad news...
first the half bad : I going to be on vacation from 20.08 untill the 13.09 so that means no modding. :(
and the good, after my vacation I'm going to work so I'll have a salary and that means more money for this project :D

today I made the psu holder.
