Hi all recieved my new xblade case last week fitting it was rather easy...But there wasn't any manual's with it and i don't know how to connect the wire's to the motherboard least i think that's where they are connected i have connected all the power wire's up..Also have one light on the front of the casae lite. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.s. The wire's are molex wire's.

Greet's Gary.

Wait...i'm a bit confused. Your case has molex connectors? Molex are the 4 lead connectors that go into your HD and CD drive...you sure?

If you're having trouble getting the LED at the front light up, it could be because LED's are one-way. Try switching the header. Appart from that i don't get the problem...is it the front of the case you're connecting, right? Or something else?

Here's the problem with Molex (http://www.molex.com/cgi-bin/bv/molex/jsp/products/products.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0676219588.114869550 0@@@@&BV_EngineID=cccgaddhlfgikldcflgcehedffgdfmk.0&channel=Products) Its a huge company that has made wire connectors for decades. So calling something a "molex" connection is kinda like saying you have a ford car.
In the modding/computer industry most people call These ends (http://www.xoxide.com/4pinsplitter.html) a molex connection.

the connectors on the front of the case should be labeled (HDD, PWR, RST,etc) what you want to look for is the corresponding labels on the headers on your M/B.

I knew, but then I worked in electronic manufacturing for ages. AMP is another big manufacturer (and my daughter's initials).

I think the one u r referring to is the round one in center of the tower case on the door? I've done that one now i need to connect the 2 inside...I have no fan's spinning :( just one on the back. Finding it hard to connect the wire's i don't see nowhere on the motherboard where to connect them. Gary

Hi again been fiddling with case again the wire's are D- D+ GROUND and another i cant rememberThose are USB connections. There will be a front-panel USB header onthe motherboard. Look in the manual for specific details.

I meant the motherboard manual. Look for the USB front panel headers.

Is it or would it be safe to take the side panel off and connect the wire's with the power on? anything i should be careful of if it's safe to do that? Gary

Well I've connected them with the power on, but then I know what I'm doing...
I wouldn't advise it though.
Unless there's some good reason not to turn it off, I would advise shutting down before doing it.
This might help:

I have just bought an xblade case and i am having trouble connecting the front door light, it is a 2pin connector i would like to now where to connect it on the motherboard, it is not the molex connectors described above.

There are several header pins on the motherboard for power, reset, speaker, power LED indicator and hard disk LED indicator. Connect the socket for the door light to the Power LED header pins if you want constant ON. connect it to the Harddrive LED header pins for flashing. There are + and - leads on the socket wire. Red (or may be green as in the photo) is +, black is -. It's important you get this right, or it wont light up.
