...Ever mod a Swiss Army Knife w/ Flash USB and LED flashlight? If I had the money, I'd buy a couple, and change the LED from red to Super Bright White.

Sorry I have resisted replying to this thread.
I have a swiss army knife.
I carry it everyday and have done so for the last 20 years or more. Its in perfect shape (except I lost the tooth pick years back - yes I know you can buy replacements).
The cheapest Swiss knife listed there has 256M and costs $65
for the same price I can go to newegg.com and buy a 2-4G flash drive or MP3 player.

So my question is why buy a good knife (that will last for years) that includes a piece of whizbang that's already small sized and out of date? Think about it 20 years ago everyone used cassette tapes in walkmans. Are flash drives going to be used in 20 years.

Also the design is poor. You'll be digging pocket lint out of the USB socket all the time.

Sorry but those knives are like fur covered toilet seats - they seem like a good idea but the combination is poorly conceived.

Make a Flash PEZ (http://metku.net/index.html?path=mods/flashpez/index_eng) instead

My brother has the 1gig version and he loves it. No, lint doesn't get in it. My brother uses it every day and says the combo is quite handy.

maybe im not seeing the light but how do you mod a swiss army knife?

Personally i think its a retarded idea. There is no way it can be as durable as the trusty swiss army knife i grew up with.
