Hey all!

This is the new worklog for my quake3 project,

the last project i did, i wasnt proud of, so i stripped it down, and im starting again.

the goals have changed :

Gloss black and Cold Blue scheme
Dual blue cold cathodes inside
Stealthed CDROM, with button rerouted to custom front bezel
Front bezel will be customized (switch board and LED's)
Side frosted window, with worn look
The entire scheme will have a worn look, but still slick.

------------------------------------------------

Im also wiring in a switch for the cathodes, to add the the main switch board.

---------------------------------------------

Ive got a video with the cathodes wired up to the switch when i get the damn camera USB cable

CAMERA BROKE!
so no pics until we get new one
-----------------------------

I did the rubbing compound today (turned out nice, one panel is a little iffy, might redo)

and i did the Quake3 logo etch on the window, and just glued the window on, and its drying.

---------------------------

Im going to wire everything in tonight

------------------------

I have no idea if this box will even be up and running, because the guy we bought the Mobo off of on ebay (although he has 99.9% positive) ****ed us over...

its been 3 weeks, and weve emailed him numerous times asking for invoice on payment...

if anyone is willing to sell a dual P3 (hell, even single p3) mobo for like 20-30 bucks, please email me!

EBay.com is the best for mobos... altho good P3 mobos are $$$, if you are lucky you can find one at $10...

OMG! Couldnt you resize them to a decent resolution at last? 2576x1932.... the Quake3 etching is taking all my screen place.. and Im using 1280x1024... We cant even see it...

Hmmm.... Those edges don't look great (for the window), unless that is the look you're going for. If it isn't, grab a file and use it on them. Some repainting would also help if you did this. But overall nice work.

yeah, ive still got some fine work to do, im going for the worn and torn look.

earlier this morning, i got everything hooked up (no mobo, so i had to do the tricky little ATX connectore on the psu thing), and it looks great with the lights illuminating the ethc,

after the case sitting half finished in my basement, i have redone the project

all my stuff is now found its home in the case

it does need some fine work done to it (repainting the CD drive, and more bay covers)

but im saving that for spring break
