Alright guys I'm putting a feeler out there to see if it's worth the investment to get these made. A friend on FB was looking for just this and noone has it. They've got Molex splitters but all the connectors are vertical instead of horizontal. If I get enough PCB's and connectors to make 50 kits (unsoldered - add $2 for an assembled kit) I can offer them for about $8/kit in with green PCB's, ~$10 for red, blue or white PCB's and about ~$12 for black PCB's, plus ~$5 shipping in the US (USPS small flat rate box). All options will have natural white nylon connectors.
The boards are just under 10cmx5cm and just over 12mm tall (height of the connector's top to the pins that protrude through the PCB). They've got 3 holes for mounting.
So my question is this: First, how many boards would you be willing to purchase? Second, what color would you prefer? IF I get enough interest I'll get some up front payments from people and put the order in for the PCB's and parts.
Select 3 options from the poll above:
1: Kit or RTU
2: Quantity
3: PCB Color

Would it be possible to get different coloured connectors?
As in black, blue, green or red as well as UV colours etc. Just make the whole thing a very custom affair?
Also what you are describing is a splitter that has the connectors all laying down around the edge of the PCB so it isn't really tall and could potentially be easily stowed away behind a motherboard tray. Correct? If so I think it would be a great product.

Me too
Oh, so you can hide it behind the motherboard tray, make it more compact?

So, just to be sure, there would be one in, and three out? Or would there be more?

Sorry forgot the pics lol. Yes, PCB mounted splitter with horizontal connectors for behind the mb tray mounting. Right now connectors are only in white (all I can find in right-angle ones right now). However if you get it in kit form you can use the Rit dye method and make them any color you want :D
Timeframe is 4 weeks at least, as it takes 3 weeks just for the PCB's to be made and shipped from China. Figure 4 weeks for a kit, maybe a little longer for an assembled board. This of course if 4 weeks from the order date, assuming it gets that far.

I know BLACK ones are around, Because I see them on ModMyToys fan boards:

Its just finding them.FrozenCPU told me the black ones are custom made in china.
I just remembered, the PowerMac G3 power board had the sideways molex.
And Apple computers are Chinese.
Would be cool with sata connections instead

6 connections max?

How many SATA connections do you actually use over molex?
Pumps dont use sata, tailed LEDS dont use sata, fan controllers dont use sata and the majority of parts dont use sata connectors.
Molex would be best.

6 connections max?
Could be more than 6.
Thinking 2,4,6 and maybe 8.

I could use 4-6 8connector ones.

I'm going to make other sizes with other connector counts I just did 6 because Fantomau came up with the idea on FB so I made it to his asking :D
