lookin good dude. one thing to keep in mind though. cold cathode tubes are ment to not acctually be seen. they are ment for hidden accent lighting only. you might try putting them closer to the edges of the case to keep them a lil more hidden. other then that i would say it looks good

Lookin' good!

Thats properly radioactive red, muchy likey.

And re: the wires on the cathodes, could you not extend the wires? It's what I did, and it makes placing the tubes in a less intrusive place much, much easier (must do for me to suggest it, 'cos I dooooo hate wires).

Oh, and thought about some round IDE cable?

Keep going bud, this I do like.

Seems to me like there just 'aint room to hide 2...

:edit: oh, and I'm leavin' the power conundrum to the clever bods....

Leper... what about getting a small acryllic tube, cutting it in half lengthwise, frosting it and hiding the cathode in there that way? It would help diffuse and distribute the light more evenly, and would create a rather interesting red-hot column going vertically up your case, helping to hide the bare cathode itself.

Just a thought.

Well, look at your local hardware store. You could even craft one yourself using a heat gun, a sheet of plexiglass, a metal pipe and some clamps. Just clamp the plexiglass flush with the pipe, heat it slowly and bend it to wrap it around the pipe. When it cools, remove it and cut off any parts you don't need, then frost it and you're good to go.

how do you frost it , is it some kind of paint ?

and is the heat gun more of a torch?

A heat gun is a heat gun, it looks like a gun, and you plug it in and it makes heat come out of the tip. Not like a torch. No flame here.

You frost with either etching chemicals, sandpaper, or a sandblaster.

They are hot, do not put your hand in front of it.

No prob, leper.

As for frosting, look through some of defyants work for examples.

Frosting is where you just wet sand plexi with decently high grit sandpaper. The effect is amazing.
