Chrome Sleeving

I can't seem to find any kind of chrome sleeving kit here in europe. I can only find those UV reactive blues, reds and greens. I saw a cool chrome sleeving kit over at xoxide.com, does anyone of you know where I can get some in european stores, or in any store which ships worldwide?

You can get it from Raychem AKA Tyco Electronics (via RS) , its not chrome but it is shiny silver metal. Ive got meters and meters of it under my desk as we speak from when i used to work for raychem making cables for military apps.

Anyway, yeah its made from copper but its silver in colour. One thing to think about is that without sleeving this stuff is conductive so you will need to keep it away from any bare contacts on your motherboard otherwise it will short stuff out and go BOOOOOOM!!!!111 :D

The difference between the braid at the top and the braid half way down apart from the price is that the one half way down has an inner tubing you take out when you use it (it keeps the braid round in storage). The one at the top is just braid on a reel wound flat.

I have seen plastic stuff too, which would be easier to work with. Have a look fora cheap shower in the bathroom section of a DIY store.

Thanks xmastree. About the shower tubes, I think they are a tad too expensive, about 15$ for a tube of like 1 meter.

I'm sure I've seen cheaper ones. Plastic, with a faux chrome spiral. Not the metal one in that picture. And you wouldn't need to worry about short circuits either.
Failing that, try the car accessory shops. These guys like to dress up their engine bays with braided steel hoses, which are just sleeves over the rubber ones. All sorts of anodised fittings too.

Yes, thanks for the suggestions, I will look out for these although I just found chrome sleeving covered with a plastic hose which ships to europe. Thanks.
