Team america plays on the stereotypical view of american stupidity.
This video is about murdering innocent women, and it is 'funny' because they are from a different culture to your own.
If you find the joyful murder of innocent women funny, then you are a disgrace to humanity. keep this BS away from tbcs man, If you want to preach hate then go elsewhere.

the singer didn't murder any woman, and in fact was lead into the ambush by another woman. So i don't know what song you listened to

So i don't know what song you listened toIn the song he uses the woman's little sister as a human sheild, and then laughs when the blood sprays from between her eyes. Then all his marine buddies laugh and cheer at the idea, just as you have done.

Please, keep this crap away from these boards, onelegout is completely correct. Try and keeps these forums politically correct, thanks.

Im not racist and Im not a piece of crap. Its a joke and you people seem to take it too seriously.
edit: if you guys really feel that it is innapropriate and should not be seen give me a pm and ill take the link down. But if you feel like its rude or stupid, dont bother.
I don't think the link is a problem. YouTube warns you that it's 18+ and requires you to signup/login to view the video.
If you're an adult and you find fault with it, look and voice what you think is right and leave it at that. People have a right to say, think and act how they want. Political correctness shouldn't stop comedy, language, life or happiness.
If you really don't like it, don't watch it. That simple.
Public thinks this is funny and that's for him to choose. He chose to share this with other members in his community.
Onelegout, this is a PG forum and you shouldn't curse.
As for the humor. It's funny because people laugh at it. Not everything has to be reasoned. Humor is whatever someone thinks is funny and that's good enough for me.

3 words: Grand Theft Auto
Stop being sanctimonious (http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?va=sanctimonious) you have Battlefield 2 in your sig. Hardly a warm fuzzy game, now is it.
This is the same argument people use regarding video game violence.
There is a big difference between saying and doing.
People who play games in glass houses shouldn't throw stone.

Now that wasn't real - it wasn't racist, didn't have anything against a certain group of people (emo kids are NOT a specific group), and was a complete joke - aka none of it was true or had truth to it.
This is quite different, IMO.

(emo kids are NOT a specific group), Of course they are, otherwise there wouldn't be a name for them.

so the hadji girl song did? I dont think that guy really fell in love with some foriegn woman and then killed her family(except for the mom).
Yea, that's why it was a joke.
People take offense too often over small stuff.
Cevinzol said it best.
Groups of people are based off similar traits, either physical or mental. Emo is as real as any other group and you're expressing your opinion of said group. If you found a video making fun of emo kids and posted it here, you shouldn't have to take it down because you offended someone. Being offensive isn't grounds for removal, unless you're a facist.

Sure, I'll play bf2 because it's a game and I enjoy enacting the job of a soldier. I have nothing against the war, and I appreciate that this is a 'joke' but I do NOT think that jokes based on serious racism and violence in the army should have any place on TBCS, ESPECIALY not during wartime. For one thing, It makes your country look like a bunch of ignorant racist thugs. And also, this site being international, it can be seriously insulting to other members of the forums. You might think it's funny, but if your family were mowed down by a trigger happy solider, would you find it appropriate for them to be laughing at it and writing songs about it? Regardless of your stance on the war, it is disrespectful and immoral to joke about deaths during wartime, civilian or otherwise. I apologise for swearing on these messageboards but racism is something that I wont stand for, ESPECIALY on PG forums.
Thanks for removing it, I appreciate it.

I found it slightly amusing.
As for the debate on this thread...
Eminem? = Killed his wife and let his daughter see him drown the body.
Violent games? = Enough said.
Just because someone finds somthing offencive doesnt mean we should sensor ourselfs from it. There isnt a single swear word in that song. Most of the material came from team america, a box office hit. So is it not funny because you cant see puppets acting out the scene?
As for the war time comment... Who gives a flying &#$%!! There is allways a war going on somewhere.
In the period of 60 years roughly 6 BILLION (yes, billion with a B) people die in all sorts of ways. Somone made a song about this peticular scenario... Nothing new.

When did religious extremist or insurgent rebels become a race? I guess I don't see where the racism is. If the song had been talking about running into a crowded town square and blasting away at any Arabic, Caucasian, Asian etc etc just because they were a specific race, then I could see your point on the racism. I undersand that some people may not see the humor but it certainly doesn't warrant the personal attack.

1. Racism, violence, hatred and greed are all things people should be able to see in others and themselves and laugh at.
2. It's a joke. You know, that whole comedy thing.
3. You tube's website had a WARNING about the video. Not for kids. Adults can watch what they want when they want. Period.
4. Real life is not fiction. Do not mix the two, they don't get along.
5. There's nothing immoral about death. We all deal with it in our lives at some point and we all will eventually face it ourselves. It's part of life and it's what gives it meaning.
6. PG means no really foul language & no porn. The internet is a commonwealth of ideas, that's what makes it so great. If there's a warning attached, I think the link should be put back up for the adults that choose to view it. One person shouldn't spoil the party for the rest of us.
Once again, if you don't like something stop paying attention to it. You're only drawing more people into it by fighting this. More people will want to know what we're talking about and watch the video. If you don't want something known, ignore it.

it's not wartime, the war ended in like 2003. Pay attention to whats going on if your going to criticise(sp?).

Youve all got some good points but I still find the video offensive. As for...
1. Racism, violence, hatred and greed are all things people should be able to see in others and themselves and laugh at.
Sure, but by laughing at a racist violent hatred-fueled song, you are supporting it. I just don't think that TBCS should be a place to fuel hatred, violence, greed, and racism. What would have happened if the same video was made by an iraqi insurgent (sp?) (Is that the right phrase?:D) laughing and singing about killing an american family. would you still think that it was funny and post it on this board for all to laugh at?
I have no more to say here, I've said how I felt about it and I am obviously outnumbered so fair enough :P
Peace
H
P.S. by wartime, I meant the fight against insurgency. I'm not THAT ignorant ;)
People let their beliefs get in the way of seeing the humor in everything.
It's hard to take yourself seriously when you don't believe in much.
Laughter also allows people the ability to start discussion about a taboo issue in a way that pleases most.
I don't fuel anything by laughing at it. Do I make more men get hit in the crotch by laughing at one on tv?
As for the Iraqi question, if I found it funny I would laugh. Why hold yourself to ideals that hold you back from being what and who you want to be?
Yes you spelled insurgent correctly.
I enjoy debate like this and wish more people would do so and think about why they believe what they do.

Its not so much as what you believe as how you came to believe it. Think about it...
What would have happened if the same video was made by an iraqi insurgent
One would be shallow and ignorant if they laugh at one thing and not laugh at another when the race of the charaters is reversed. As they would clearly be racist.
Well, the reason people believe anything is assumptions based on what they think to be right/fact.
Beliefs are powerfully close-minded. They're hard to change, hard to control, and don't dissapear when a person changes.
I am trying not to believe anything. I can think things and have opinions, but the belief structures in me I am deconstructing everyday. People shouldn't let stigma hold them back.

Good luck man! My brother's wife's brother (hee hee) went there last year! He is terrified of the sea and they had HUGE swell and storms on the crossing back. Now he feels ill at the sight of moving water :D
As for the debate, Ive basicly spent the whole weekend with a few mates and a HUGE shisha, watching documentaries and short films about quantum physics solidly for almost 48 hours. As a result, I have become so open minded that I am starting to loose my grip on reality. What IS reality anyway?
