Actually just help me. Umm i have a problem 2 acutually maybe. the first one is when i turn my computer on i have to switch the back switch off for a few seconds, then turn it on and press power if it has been powed off for a long time it takes like 10 minutes to turn it on. then when it does sometime my video card dosent come on. then when it all comes on it says to check my cmos i replaced the battery and it works fine. then one day it was on and i went to touch the mouse and bang the power supply blew. so i am buying a new one. what is the problem its got to be the case or the motherboard. i have a:

ATI RAdeon x700 pro
AMD athlon 3200+
Gigabyte GA-K8N-SLI
seagate 120GB 7,200rpm
Geil 1gB(512x2) pc 3200 ram
and soon to be my demon 580watt power supply.
oh i have a mustang case or something.

Do you have any idea what it could be. i borrowed a power supply forma friend and that isnt the problem. so im sure its not that. thank you for your time.

so the power supply didnt work?i dont see how it could be the case, so that only leaves the mobo...unless all those fans are doing something to screw up the power supply and it affected the motherboard. it might be the PSU i gave you, because it was 20-pin and the mobos 22-pin, like you said.

It maybe the switch, or too much being drawn from the PSU. Try getting a menual switch, see if that works.

Your mobo might have been blown when the power supply failed, to me it sounds like it was acting up for some time. So there might have been wierd power things that messed it up. I had a computer where the mobo went because of a PSU failure.
