RadioShack is what you want, although Servos are sometimes better depending on the thing you're going for.

Crimson posted a few resources in the Doom3 worklog.

what's the difference in a servo and a motor?

motor is spinning around with different speeds, a servo usually doesnt spin, it has an angle range it can turn. they are also a lot more precise, you tell the the position, they will stay there and resist any forcing on them. just look at an rc plane or a car. the motor drives the wheels and propeller, servos controll the turning and the wings. you define the position by moving the little joystick

Precision comes in the form of stepper motors if you need to be able to freely spin at lowish RPMs.
