I want to paint just the top of my computer case but there is rivets holding the top to the frame, is there some way I should go about taking them out?

I used a drill to get them out.

just start with a small drill, then use a slightly larger one until the rivet falls out...

you'll need new rivets though :P

not without destroying the rivots. basically ust use a 1/8 inch drill bit and drill those suckas out. you can either replace them with more rivots when your done, or you can do what i did and just go to a hardware store that sells all sorts of differant nuts and bolts. i ended up buying some nice black Allen bolts that looked really good with the theme, id take pics but that project is long gone and i dont know where i stored the nuts and bolts. so just go with whatever you think will look best on your case, if you plan on taking it apart ever again, you may just wanna go for bolts, its easier.

I used rivets again, because the panel of the case had to slide over it. Bolts would not have fit in my case... check that out on your situation!

I had to do the same thing with my case i just started with a small bit and worked my way up in sizes so i didn't make the hole any bigger then it al ready was, and i think i found a screw that is small enough to work. You can find pics at my worklog HERE (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2751)
