Hi,
im installing my cpu cooler right now, its the zalman cnp9500 its the one with the 6 heat pipes and blue led.

im having a really hard time screwing in the two screws that holds down the cooler to the board because the fins over hang the screw. i got both screws in a little. i have like 1/8th of an inch of threads still sticking out on both sides. i cant screw it down anymore without just stripping the screws. can i just leave it like this?? or do you guys have any tips on how to screw it in.?

Thanks,
noto.

get a longer screwdriver. And no you can't leave them like that. Just find a screwdriver with a longer shaft and it is no problem, also what I had to do was take my motherboard out... but this is common with CPU coolers anymore you almost can't get one that you don't have to take the mobo out to put it on.

Sometimes you can put the screws in from the back side mobo...
