A stock case but still cool. you could do an awsome Cars (the movie) mod with metal flake cherry red paint and the Cars logo on the lid with a screen in the drive bay playing a loop of the movie when it comes out. ohh! and a plastic racing wing on the top rear.

I dont know its a really ugly case stock imo. But looks like you could do some cool car mods with it. Isnt someone doing a Lamborghini mod with this case or was that something else?

from an angle it is quite ugly but straight on it looks better. go on xoxide and search this case. you can get it in neon green. what were they thinking?

woah maximan, calm down. i agree, the double posting needs to end, but no need to get all worked up. anyways, ive always look at this case as kind of a diamond in the rough, in a way. it looks horrible, but id be willing to bet that its unique design would open it up for a lot of potentially awesome mods. but im talking mods that would do more than add a window and some case handles. im was actually considering this case as my next project, mainly cuz i think i could find a good theme and make the case not suck so much.

well i would rather be a geek because as i see it a nerd does good in school and is known as that but a geek is al-around good at everything. or somethin like that. althoguh i got called a geek by my girlfriend too. i brought my computer in to school to work on it. the whole school called me a geek. there just jealous. anyways ugly case.

To keep my reply related: Yes, I do think the case is ugly and it has a pretty high price tag too for something like that. It needs to be modded badly and MDCS is doing a very good job of it.

This is one of those cases with cool individual featuers but overall it a hunk of red Cr@p.

I think the door how it opens up and back is cool with the tube piston dohickey's what are they called again.

Aslo the power button is cool how its touch one.

What's funny is they try to advertise it on think geek as a Lan case. Who would lug that from Lan event and back home again. Once you leave a lan event you would take out your parts and leave it on the side walk as you couldn't be bothered to carry it home. And hobo's could use it to make a house out of it or as a stew pot.
Ok I got a bit carried away.

I prefer the term IT specialist but every just uses computer nerd. Because you can have maths nerds and history nerds so computer nerd is the correct term I guess.

Just dont ever buy a vento 3600 and not do anything with it...

I guess it would make a good car base, but when I look at it, it reminds me of fighter jets. Probably because of the huge intakes on the sides.

Thanks for capitalizing on my typo. But not to much is known about the iGirlfriend; you know how tight-lipped Steve Jobs is. You will just have to wait until Mac World to get the full scoop. Oh, she will be running on OS X Leopard. :D
Since you mentioned the price of the Asus case, I don't think you will be able to afford an iGirlfriend. :p But the coolness would more than make up for it! Hmmm.... This is reminding me of a Japanese anime manga called Chobits (is that the right series I am thinking about?).

Probably. In Chobits, there are robots called Persocons and most look human (most seem to be female in form) except for their telling "ear" things that cover their IO ports. Many people apperantly replaced people with persocons. (the short version, as this is off topic)

On topic: I think the 3600 has a certain charm to it, from the right angles. I also think it has excellent potential for modding. But I also think it is an overpriced piece of plastic purporting to be a computer case.

Then again, it would probably be better to just buy a cheaper case and make your own air intakes. Hmmm.... I think I got another mod idea. Replicating that goldish cockpit window would be so cool to put on a case! Maybe make the front door look like the cockpit and under it, I can install those fighter pilot toggle switches.

I think the case has potential for either a car based mod or a jet related mod or something original and creative, though another case might fit batter for the latter ;p.

It would work for a car mod, (as it already is) but I don't know about a jet mod. It just doesn't look sleek enough to be a jet. Too bulky and, ummm, whats a good word? I guess round or something.

You could maybe slap wings on it and extend it back to make it longer and redo the front to have a cockpit but that would take to much work and it would be huge. Yeah its a werid case sort of like a car but sort of like a plane.
