I made an animated userbar at ubanimator.com and i don't know how to put it in my sig. Can someone help?

You had locked the thread when you made it, somehow. I opened it for you, but so you know we do not allow animated or overly large sigs in this forum.
and FYI, a few of you guys are approaching the limit when it comes to the size of your sigs. Please try to keep them down to narrow images and a very small amount of text - no more than four lines, please.

same happened to me Scotty
the reason i closed it is because i read the rules and then closed it to prevent a whole bunch of people telling me off about it.

Ah, sorry bout that.
Figured it was a good time to gently remind everyone about the guidelines, while I was at it. Didn't mean to single you out or anything.

as this is a sig topic, i have a Q for Ranken... here goes: when or if could we have a profile pic visible on the bord????

It's possible to enable pics, but when Paul and co orignally set up the boards, they decided to disable avatars. Who knows why? It was his decision, and anyway, the place looks cleaner without them in my honest opinion.

Yup. Not up to me, and I'm not convinced it is necessary.

Ever since joining TBCS i've gone avatarless on every forum now.
Anywho, I also saw the guidelines and massively downsized.
I like small streamlined and simple sigs, too, so yeah.

Ditto here also. I usually try not to exceed 150 pixels of height, or it just starts to get large and clunky (and less chic widescreen).

Cool1Net6, that is an excellent example of a streamlined sig - mixing graphics and text often results in overly bulky signatures, but using a relatively narrow graphic and small text kept to two lines makes it look very clean. Sigs shouldn't ever be much larger than that one. Thanks. :D

Personally I think it should be limted more for the size of the file insted of pixel size or wether its animated or not. Most of my sigs are quite small and under 150k.

Nah, large sigs clutter the board and make reading threads annoying.
filesize is important, but probably not as important as vertical size.

Why would you need sigs if you had avatars? Sigs are much cooler though! Thnx Paul!

I personally don't like avatars that much either. Anyway i was just wondering if my sig was getting to large? I thought id ask while this thread was on the topic.
Thanks

It's fine. Yours is 397x150 pixels and the rules state:
Signature Images: All images in signatures should not exceed 400x150 pixels.

Ok thanks. I just wanted to make sure because it sort of looked a bit big.
Thanks : )
