Ok so I got a review sample bench from Primochill (will post revie wlink once it's published) and I'm going to mod it a bit :D

First off thanks to Performance-PCs.com and White Light Laser for sponsoring me with some goodies to make the bench unique.

Along with my parts order Performance-PCs hooked me up with some 300mm Bitfenix Alchemy Connect LED strips (in orange of course) for the bench. I also picked up a pair of XSPC temp gauges - one air and one liquid - as well as a Bitfenix pump top, XSPC Raystorm CPU block, Orange LEDs for the CPU block, UV LEDs for the pump top and some Primochill UV Brite Orange dye.

I also picked up some orange and black paracord to sleeve the Thermaltake 1000W PSU I'll be using with the bench.

I mounted the LED strips under the motherboard. The top one had to go at a slight angle due to the cutout.

And a shot of it all lit up. The glow on the left is from the UV LED's on the pump top.

Until the review is up here's a teaser:

Until next time :D

Small update - I got the Tt PSU sleeved today. Well at least the 24-pin and the 8-pin, I still need to do the PCI-E cables. The orange matches nicely :D

Ok update time!

I got the pair of 6-pin PCI-E cables sleeved

Then I added the UV green dogbones from White Light Laser. After this however I upgraded the test system GPU to a 7970 which requires a 6-pin and an 8-pin, so I'm going to have to remove the dogbones unfortunately.

Then I cut into the top panel of my bench. These are rough cuts from the scroll saw.

And after some Dremeling and filing I got the two XSPC temp gauges mounted.

The right side gauge is for ambient temps so I used some cable routing mounts to tie the cable up. The left sid eone is for liquid temp and terminates in a G-1/4" threaded plug to plug into the system somewhere.

Here's both temp sensors mounted.

And of course I got orange ones to match the bench.

That's all for now!

You're not complaining about an upgrade, are you? ;) This just opens the possibility of using orange dogbones for the new ones!
