Mini Fridge PC, want input.

I Just bought one of those CoolIt USB beverage coolers and i have to say, it sucks. Its a very good idea in theory but it dosnt work very well due to the lack of power and the fact that the bottom of a can is curved inwards so it dosnt touch enough of the surface.

It did turn me on to Thermoelectric Cooling or Peltier Cooling.

My idea is to put a mini fridge in the bottom of my PC, made to hold 4 or 5 drink cans.

I plan on buying a small minifrige for the Peltier cooler and welding my own aluminum box.

Man i love this idea. There is allready a case with a drink holder/cooler in it.

I wouldnt insulate between the fridge and the inside of the case. You'd have exceptional cooling/overclocking capabilities if your computer was inside a fridge.

I worry about condensation.



That mountain dew pc is awesome, as for the other one, all it is is a refrigerator

A little bit of insulation won't hurt, but only to prevent condensation. I'd also like to point out the peltiers aren't normally used in fridges, they have a different method of doing it!

One other thing is, you're going to need to water cool the peltier.... or is that only for cold plates?

i dont agree you could put a big heatsink on the hotplate

Most of the very small mini friges i have looked at use peltier coolers/heaters.

And my plan is to put a very large heatsink on the hot side along with two 120mm fans
