any of you know those little spikey things that look like heat sinks that you can put on your vid card in certain areas? Ive seen them in packages that came with cooling systems for your vid card, i think they look cool, do they actually work well? if so i might get them just for shiggles:p

Do you mean the little gold heatsinks that is meant for RAM?

No, he is talking about the GPU ramsinks, you can by them seperatly and they come with some GPU coolers. As far as performance, they do help, but they only work with decent airflow to get rid of the hot air.

ok thanks , that will work good with my case theres alot of room in there, and 4 fans so ill probably pick up some soon

They dont work well on high end cards I dont think where there is lots of heat like the 6800's 7800's 7900's and the 1800's and 1900's

add about 10-15mhz to your ram oc and that's what you'll get.
