Hi I am need of some help. I have the Asus p5wd2 premium mobo and I need to update the bios to support my new coming graphic cards ( ATI x1900xtx and x1900 master cards) anyway I have tried for days to down load from the asus sites and I am not having any luck. does anyone know of a site I can get the latest bios program from.

Also, here is a little guide to updating BIOS.


Upgrading BIOS in PCs having Flash-ROM is done using two files: a programming file (type .exe) and a file containing the data to be stored in the ROM chip (normally a file of the type bin or rom; extension depends on manufacturer). These two files must be copied to a bootable floppy (formatted with format a:/s) and you must boot computer from this floppy in order to upgrade BIOS (it will be necessary to enable boot from floppy, changing Boot Sequence option to A, C in computer setup).

Asus boards have a program that'll run from windows and allow you to flash your BIOS while restarting.

You shouldnt have to update your BIOS though. The card(s) will work with the stock mobo settings unless the vid card mfg recomends it
