Anyone use firefox? I have the newest version and for some reason, at seemingly random times, firefox refuses to load certain websites. Example being newegg.com I know its not the webpage being down cuz i can access it through internet explorer just fine. Firefox just sits there for about a minute and then i get a page saying the server conneciton was reset and that it may be becuase the page is down or my firewall is screwed up or something. Any help on the topic would be much appriciated.

Try using the fasterfox addon.

I've never had problems like this, but like I said, I'm using an addon that changes the way FF transfers data...

Thank you for the suggestion. Hopefully it works. I checked to see if i could get on newegg before installing it, and of course, it was working when i wanted it to not work so i could test the add on. So i installed it anyways, cuz im always looking for ways to make firefox better.

Yeah go set it to like the highest-non-custom speed setting.

If that doesn't fix it, then it's completely different -- although I doubt a FF plugin would fix it.

Umm i forget exactly what command line you have to punch into your browser but there is a configuration page you can get to and modify. You can turn up your simultaneous connections for faster browsing. There is a whole bunch of things you can edit / change to change the way IE compliant browsers operate (i dont know about netscape)
