Ya that was pretty funny... He had to end his career in a sit out at the world cup, what a shame.

The last few. I hasn't won since 1994 versing brazil and the before I think it was in 1982.

The score was 1-1. Overtime yielded no points, so they went to a Penalty Kick Shootout:

Italy.......|1|1|1|1|1| = 5
France....|1|X|1|1| | = 3 (last kick was unecessary)

Italy won because the guy who came in to replace the French Team Captain (Head-Butt man) missed the penalty kick.

well if you ask me i think italy should have won 2-1 because they weren't off sides on that one goal but we still won so YAY!!

On that same note he also could have landed the tie-breaking goal. We'll never know...
