Hi guys,

I want to cut a hole on the plexy window that I have on my case I am having heat problems.The thing is that I have heard that cutting a hole in plexy is a pain in the @#$@^ is there an easy way? Thank you for your time.

I was reading my extreme pc mod book and they mention cutting their custom acrylic case using a scoll saw.

or use a hole saw, with an extra piece of acrylic underneath.

Yea. Or heat will get into plexi and melt the edges.

It happened to me with a piece of acrylic so now I know :)

yeah its a pain.. i dremaled it then i had this weird sander at my school the was a cicrle the spun and went up and down.... it worked really nice. and if you think cutting cicrle in plexi is hard try it in steel!

Or if you're using a rotary tool (Dremel), it will spit hot, molten plexi in your face.

YES it will. found out after i got a couple in the neck.

It might be slow, but a coping saw with a wood blade will do the trick well without melting or causing any other problems. Just make sure you dont put a lot of pressure on your plex or your blade.
