Build one :D It's fun. That's what I would do but if you want a pre-built one, Dell's are pretty good.

But I would still build one. If you've never done it, you should try, it's really not that hard. If you are going to build one www.newegg.com has all the parts you need.

Would it be cheaper to build one? im sure i could do it and i know it would be better
and if i was to buy a dell it would be the xps gen 5 with intel xeon processors

Then yes, most likely it would be cheaper to build your own.

List your needs for the system and any parts you would like. We're usually very happy to help you build a parts list for your budget, and to critique your choices to help you get the best bang for your buck. Do a little shopping on NewEgg and a few of the other sites, do some pricing and give us a parts list. We love that sort of thing.

DO NOT BUY IT NOW. Just wait until the new processors go down. Even if you cant afford the new processor the older processors will go down. Later today ill find some parts you should buy. What exactly are you going to use this new rig for?

DO NOT BUY IT NOW

Yes, do not buy it now. Processors will be dropping in price soon, so if you can hold off for a little bit, you'll save some money.

You could buy a case now, and start modding it for when you do have the parts. That's what I did.

Also do you have a monitor?
Oh ya and I forgot to add a new video card is coming out as well its going to run the new DirectX version 10. If you get a new pc you might want to save a little money to buy Windows Vista because most of the new games will only run if you are using windows vista.(im pretty sure as of what my brothers been telling me ill research it in a bit and ill update)

Also there is supposed to be new software by microsoft that allows your pc to kind of turn into a game system. It allows you to rent the games from blockbuster or wherever and play it on ur pv just like the x360.

If you were building your computer this is what i would buy.

Processor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103751) $568.00

Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131013) $140.99

Memory (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145034) $250.00

Hard Drive 1 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822136011) $329.99 (The reason for this hard drive is because it is much faster then your secondary and you would want to put your operating system on this hard drive for better performance)

Hard Drive 2 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148065) $81.99

Video Card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814125024) $479.99

PowerSupply (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817182032) $64.99

Total: $1915(without shipping)

It could be a lot better as if you already had a monitor, I didn't include a monitor in the price because as my opinion I wouldn't want to buy one off the internet because they could have dead pixels and if that was the case you would not be able to return it unless it had 5 or more dead pixels.

ALSO THESE ARE THE ITEMS I WOULD PURCHASE ARE AS OF RIGHT NOW. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT WAITING LIKE I SAID THEN YOU SHOULD TELL ME AND ILL DO A LITTLE RESEARCH AS TO WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO COME OUT AND THEN YOU CAN DECIDE TO WAIT OR GET THE ITEMS NOW.

If you think waiting is too long for the videocard and processor to come out then i can make sure I am %100 on the items. Also if you do not want a monitor then I can rfind better items to buy. If you don't think a 16 year old is liable of finding you a good computer then just tell me and I won't post anymore. If you have any questions just ask and ill help ya out as much as possible.

I hate to say this, but hold off for a DFI AM2 board. DFI is great for overclocking, and even if you don't, they're nifty as hell and stable like nobody's buisness.

Well like I said he hasn't exaclty said what he is using his computer for so I can't put exaclty what he wants until he says. I will change it once knowing what he wants, I just threw something out there for now.

I say buy whenever you want to get a new computer. There will always be the next generation thing right around the corner, and the price of hardware is always going down. If you wait for the price to drop, then it will be all the more outdated. If you wait for the next generation thing to come out, then you are just going to shell out a whole lot of extra dough for something that will soon be outdated.

If you want a computer now, then AM2 is looking to be the best. It's future ready, so to speak.

nVidia 7950GX2 would run Oblivion very well.

I'm in the US, although Texas is a little far from Idaho. I can build computers. I would be willing to put one together for you if that is what you want. PM me. If you want tips and help, everyone here will help.

Yes, do you know how? If not, then a good way to learn is taking the panel off of a computer you have now and seeing what goes where and such. That's how I learned, and it works pretty good.

I know others will scream blue muder. But for a beginer some books offer good guides to building a PC.

Dam 2500 US$ is a lot for a computer. Its like $3,329.10 AUS$. To give you an idea 7900gtx are like $850- $900 AUS
