In a tribute to the new game being produced by flagship studio's (Hellgate:London) I have decided to make a case. My last attempt at makeing a tribute case was going well untill I realized that Diablo 3 isnt ever comeing out and that I wasnt following the theme very well.

This time around I'll be working on my first ever lian-li. The Pc v1200b Plus II (It's very satisfying to say the entire name). I chose the 1200 over the 1000 for some extreme cooling that you will see take shape in a few weeks. It will run dual loops with some pretty hefty cooling power. I almost went with the 2000 due to the amount of stuff I will be stuffing into this case but i thought the 1200 would be more fun.

Things to expect:
+Plexi (Lots of it)
+Custom cableing (Think guitar)
+Red Lighting (It is Hell)
+Peltiers
+Etching
and much much more

The case:

UPDATE:

Here we go. It's been a busy week and I've had some problems hosting pics. Fear not though for they are here and this project has officially started.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL00001.jpg
First off I got my package that I have been waiting for from newegg. Unfortunately they forgot to send me the 8 120mm LED fams that I ordered. So I'm a little upset with them.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001003.jpg

The case was quickly stripped down to what will be used. I removed both of the HDD cages and the center car will be removed until everything else installed.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001004.jpg
Without the cages

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001006.jpg

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001007.jpg
With the HD cages removed, I was still in need of a spot to locate HD's. I decided to mount one of the cage sideways in the 5.25inch drive section. I only have one HD right now but the most I will ever have is 3 (2xraid 0 and 1 for storage\)

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001009.jpg
I was working pretty furiously so I skipped takeing pictures of the window before I cut it. The bottom section will be a vent for my radiator and will be grilled off in the next update. The top section is of course the window.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001010.jpg
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001011.jpg

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001015.jpg
This is the other door and it will get some treatment to make the reservoirs viewable.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001016.jpg
This is the first reservoire. The econd will beplaced directly above it but it is currently in use so no pictures were taken.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001017.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001018.jpg
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001019.jpg
Here is the grill I am useing. I bought a few of these for the mod.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001021.jpg
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001022.jpg
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001024.jpg
This is a mock-up of the radiator grill. i havent decided on a design yet but I am working on one now.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001031.jpg
This is how th case stands now. Taped up and ready for cutting. Just waiting on a few more parts so I can fit them

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001032.jpg
Ohh and this is the ring I made for the window. It both accents the window and covers up the cut in the panel. The cut isnt all that rough it's just I prefer the plexi.
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001033.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/HGL001/HGL001034.jpg

that's all for now. More to come : )

It says in the picture "Disposable Grill Topper". It looks like the same thing you have, but probably stronger.

Anyways, Hellgate: London looks like a sweet game and is the perfect game to base a mod on. I can't wait to see this one come together.

BTW, the window cuts look great.

It's from walmart in the grill accessories section. It's flimsy but works well. i wouldn't use it on anything structural.

Alright so the right side window is finished (There will be one on the left). I also put some mesh behind the lower section to allow air in for the radiator. The Mesh was also pounded out so it would be flush with the plexi ring. It's hard to see in the pictures but it looks trick up close.

Fozzy ma man, make sure you email Flaship and ask for a high resolution CMYK JPG of the Hellgate Logo... once you have it lemme know. I got a trick i wanna show ya...

Gonna be one helluva mod if you can pull it off man... maybe i am getting rudely ahead of myself, but are you planning to use any of the motifs on Templars sword in your mod...

Have you tried to fit the mobo and graphic cards yet? I have the V1100B case and my 7800GTX cards wouldn't fit your case with the reservoir's where they are. My mobo wouldn't fit either. What mobo & vid cards are you going to use? Looks cool though! :)

wow that grill stuff would be perfect for my bugatti mod, it's almost the exact pattern that a real veyron has... *yoink*

did you have a company cut the plexi for you, or didyou do it yourself? also, is it hard to do, like how long did it take?

you might want to get a filter behind that grill :P could be a potential dust magnet, however the case is looking very spiffy so far, i really like it. the plexi job is wonderful :D

Get the grill from Walmart. It's flimsy but looks great and is easy to work with. And yes I cut the plexi myself. Cutting is easy if you go slow...Filing everything smooth is a bitch. I reccomend getting the thicker stuff. The thin stuff will crack and is not as rigid.

(When cutting use a jigsaw and a wood bit and go slow so that it doesnt melt)

Yea but it wouldn't allow me to see the radiator when it's installed : (. I'd rather wipe it down ever month or so. There's only a radiator/psu in that compartment anyways : )

whoa. thats a lot of fans, and alot of power. How big is your PSU?

It's a 550w Antec something power with modular cables. The fans are very very low wattage though. Full out they only run at 2000rpm. This will be a silent machine when I'm not gameing.

Note: Load on PSU

3200 AMD 64 Oced
motherboard
1 HD
1 DVDRW
1 7900gt or gtx (havent decided)
1 80w pelt
2 mcp350's
9 fans through 2 fan controllers
1gig of ram

I think right now I'm pushing it but it wont run full out for more than 2-3 hours at a time and I usually shut down all of my watercooled systems when I'm not useing them (They heat up the room and might bust a leak)

The case is comming along quite nicely. I can't believe they would limit your fans. I guess they dont know you are serious. If I went to my local comp shop with a shopping trolley and said fill er up they wouldn't bat an eye lid.

And whats worse then the ciggies is the brand of computer you have it sitting on. Shudder HP bad memories of over priced printer cartridges and hopless support.

Does the 1 80w pelt translate to an 80w peitier cooler. Do those work well?

80wpelt means peltier cooling yes. I got about 2-8degree's c on a 1900xtx....and still couldn't overclock it. Switchin back to a 7900gt (made 100 bucks on the deal)

I got the 3200 about 6 months ago and every time i turn around to upgrade I had a new excuse to wait. (AM2 then Conroe) so now I just need to put together some money. running it a 2.6ghz doesnt make it all that bad of a chip though when you realize that a 3800x2 games just as well but is a dual core.

yeh but you just know AMD will produce something better, and then intel will, and then AMD will again, so whats the point in waiting imo :P just buy something now, its bound to be better than a 3200 :P i was running a 2800 single core up until now and it was painful. Now my games run sweet as a nut and i wouldnt change even for conroe :D

looking good when its lit up i have to say, the blue res look aweseome mixng with the orange fans :D

You can do an effect like the glowing monitor above with Clicky (http://www.flexiglowhk.com/products/CableKits.htm) that cool flexiglow cabling stuff.

But it wouldn't look as cool though.

sorry for the delay but my update is finally here. I realize that it wont look like much for the time being gone but this update has been the hardest and longest so far.

First things first. I got my order from dangerden which was short 5 fitting which kinda sucks but wat can you do?

They actually fit the theme very well if you check out the website. There are two classes, cabalist and templar. the cabalist have a red glow and the templars have a blue. You can distinguish it better in person but on the camera the colors somewhat blend.

They come painted. With the fans you cant see the fins and with the side panel you cant see the radiators which, IMO, is kinda sad.

Hey everyone. It seems that this mod is comeing to an end...for now. I have officially run out of time. This tuesday i will be moveing into college and will not have the time/tools to do anything new to this mod. I regret that I did not finish everything that I had hoped to do. So I am makeing a "christmas list" of what will be done when I get back dureing my break.

+Etches
+UV dye

.....ok it's a short list but the etches will be large to say the least and actually will be right in time for the release of the game.

Some information on my standing with the people at Flagship Studios.
I contacted them recently to see if maybe they would want to use my case at one of thir demos. Sadly they declined saying that they loved my case but they didnt want to deal with shipping/security/other things. Also they said tht hen they do demos they set up a line of 12 computers that are hidden behind a wall and all you see are the screens, keyboards, and mice....so it would be pointless. Even with this minor dissapointment they did however grant me a beta position as well as the opportunity to have my case headlined on their site as soon as I would like. So all is not lost. I too had concerns with my work being distroyed so in a way I am relieved.

With that said I realize that I am long past due on an update. Dont worry, I havent been takeing this time off. Although this may seem like a small ammount of work to some I have to admit it was by far the hardest. The sleeveng, soldering, fitting, heatshrinking, testing, re-fitting, resizeing, re-doinng, and re-thinking was a huge drain on me and has been, by a huge margine, the HARDEST part of the mod. So enough wih the talk and on with the pictures.

Step one was to mount the connectors for the radiator fans. I simply drilled some holes and did some quick fileing.
http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n90/HGL003/HGLl00001.jpg

Mounted

On the bottome of the next picture you can see the drive bay cover mounted as well.
http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n90/HGL003/HGLl00004.jpg

Another concern that I'e heard alot is "That adiator will never fit" This is how I fixed that. I made a plexiglass spacer and used some m3 screws to mount the psu plate. I also left enough space on the bolts to accomedate a much larger psu should I even need one. (Sli)
http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n90/HGL003/HGLl00005.jpg

I also extended the plexi into the case to keep everything fluid and as you can see the radiator does in fact fit : )
http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n90/HGL003/HGLl00006.jpg

Here is the front of the case with the two fan controllers, the DVD RW, and 2 empty bays that cover up the HDD's (I had to buy another one since Lian-li doesnt include enough)
