Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to check this out.

I'm new to the case modding scene, and since I plan on building an ultimate gaming machine, I thougth I might as well have a pretty rockin' case to go with it.

I've got a great idea for a case from a game I am a HUGE fan of. Savage: The Battle for Newerth was the best game that most people don't know about. The sequel's beta-testing (which I am a part of) will start next week! So I thought it'd be a great idea to incorporate this game into my case.

I want to make the game's logo the side panel of my rig. Here's what it looks like.

Obviously I don't have the skills to paint something like that. I do have the idea of a black gloss case with a deep red to it, and somehow backlighting it with a sound sensitive light to give it the appearance of lightning inside a storm cloud. In my searching around for case mods, I came across http://www.hyperkore.com. They make custom etchings onto acrylic.

My idea is to submit that logo, get it etched into an acrylic, and mount it on my machine. My main question is, would it be possible to then incorporate color into the etching by painting the backside? Such as a little white for the skull, grey for the sword, spattering of red and black to make it look like the logo, etc. Would I be able to get the desired color effect without blocking out the light from the case interior?

My second idea is to sandwich an acrylic version of S2Games logo (the company that makes the game) inside a sealed acrylic housing on the top of the case. I would then run my liquid cooling through this little acrylic "box". Here's the logo;

The preview for the Savage 2 game had the company logo being slowly filled with blood, which is where I drew my idea from. My initial thought is that if I make sure my case is sealed well, and it didn't impeded the flow of the coolant, this would be a feasible idea.

Just want to know if people had some input or maybe try and bring me down from dreaming a bit too hard too early :) Sorry it's so long, but thanks for taking the time to read and respond!
