Greetings all. i have a quick question about installing a plexi motherboard cover on an air cooled system. is it wise to do so? every mod i've ever seen where the person put a motherboard cover on have always done it on a watercooled system.

i know that i'd have to cut holes for the cpu heatsink to fit and another hole for the chipset fan, but in all honesty would it actually add any heat to the system?

i'm asking because i have some free time on my hands and a nice big sheet of tinted plexi glass that would look really nice inside my case. thanks...

Defyant used a MoBo cover on HPres server and that was air cooled.

As long as you allow for cool air to touch the hot stuff and hot air to rise, you won't have an issue.
