Noob looking for some simple ideas

Hey guys/gals. I have been into modding for sometime, hewever I have never done it myself. I recently aquired a Compaq Presario 4090US "Internet PC" case from a client I had. I am wanting to get some ideas for a first-time mod.

First of all I have to cut the rear of the case to fit a standard size power unit. This case has to be like 6 years old and used a 200Watt PS.

Second, it is a small case (micro-ATX), so I am looking at a AMD64 MB/CPU combo. It is limited on space so I have to plan every aspect before I start it.

I am wanting to run 1-2 gig of DDR RAM, 160gig HDD, and a 256Mb NVidea Graphics card. I might also posibly install a WiFi PCI card.

Here's my idea:
bondo the "Compaq" on both sides of the case,
cut out the "Compaq" badge on the front of the case and install a cone for a 80-92mm fan,
cut the left side panel and install a window with a cutout for a cooling fan (Space allowing),
bondo top of case getting rid of the "CD holder" or whatever they were thinking it was, or possily cutting it out entirely and installing a window with lights of some sort.

Hmmm, If you look at the "Gallery" section of this forum, Look for a post called "First Mods" or somthing like that. A guy modded a simular compaq.

I have never worked with a compaq, So I have no suggestions.

Look at Defyant's Stuff. HP and compaq are the same company, although i don't know if this was always the case.

Yes, hp and compaq are now the same company.

Compaq bought out DEC (and others), then HP bought Compaq (and some say the hp CEO at the time (Carly Fiorina) lost her job because of it).
