what can i do with a chieftec ?

put in 120 fans to start with then think of something you like eg. mines elder scrolls then mod your case around that

thats nice ! i'l be sitting up to night and drawing my mod .. and maybe i post it her ! :) im thinking blue fans and purple neon as the colors of the ligth effects.

Mess around with your mod ideas in Sketch Up and tell us what you come up with.

You can do whatever you want to your Chieftec but it is up to you what you like and what you want.

yeah ! i youst needed some ideas for a theme, like: half-life,superman ... you know :) i dont know if im going for a theme at all maybe i youst cut some holes for a fan or to and sett in a lcd skreen ? i chose the chieftec becouse it's wery adustebale.. (sorry for my writing) .. for mod,it is very boring to start with but you can make it cool !

Like I said before, you should maybe play around with Google Sketch Up. Throw around a few ideas in Sketch Up and think over the idea. If you come up with something better, change it and think over it for a while. Keep looking at what you have so far and look for the good and the bad.

Yeah ! thanks .. i do not have a theme yet :S but it will pop up when i get my stuf .. I hope. i used the google sce. but it did not work for me :P i use a pencil.
... and tools .. it is expensive her in norway :(

I am kind of in that stage where you are at. I first struggled to find a theme. Then I realized that it wasn't what I really wanted. I'm not saying that those themed mods aren't cool (like the Doom 3 mod) but it just isn't me. In a sense, that is not my style. So as of now, I ended up having a "theme" that is about style and elegance.

I mention this in another post. It is like a choice between a Hummer that is loaded up with everything imaginable or a Lamborghini (or even a BMW). I'd rather take the 2nd choice.

Just my ramblings, lol. I hope that helped in some way.

Jepp .. i want a theme, but not like, a :alien head or plane you know what im saying ? i want the more cooled down theme, youst a tuch of a game or a movie =) something that remindes you of (battlefield 2142) =) .. im trying to make a Battlefield 2142 mod .. but a little bit cool and smooth version .. some lines and effects from the game!

A Battlefield 2142 theme would be awesome!

Here are a few ideas that will hopefully give you some ideas. These are just some quick and random ideas of mine (not a complete mod) so you can do whatever you want with them, like pick a few or none at all.

Custom laser etched window. You could send in any picture and they will laser etch it for you. They can do it 3 different ways - clear so light shines through, not clear so no light comes through (like a black and white phote), or with color.

You could maybe make your front top door look like the front cockpit of this mech. Just the very front piece with the 4 bolts on each corner.

You could make the bottom front like the middle part of this mech that is right above the cannon. It reminds me of those garage doors. Or use it for the top front. You could mod the case feet to look like the blue hovering feet mechanisms. Make them light up blue too!

I know that there are other places that can do laser ethced windows. You just have to look around to see if they ship to Norway.

Yes, But from the sounds of things, you're pretty new.

For Newbies, I suggest going around a color theme rather then an actual theme. Its easier to make everthing blue or red then paint a giant elder scrolls logo on the side of you're case.

What Razors Edge is proposing is just another design idea/suggestion.

I think what you got there is great. The emblem on the soldier's helmet would be a cool side window shape.

ok =) i kinda wanted an other emblem on the side, but it was so advanced an hard to make, so i landed ot the "black" side's icon ! im still working on the front door. and also i have not yet found out how to post images her ? can you or anyone else help me ?

You will first need to upload your images to the web, either your own personal website or you can use a place called http://photobucket.com/ to host your images. Once you do that, you can just hit the button that says "insert picture" and paste the correct URL. Try to keep your pictures no more than 700 pixels wide and the file no larger than 60KB.

Oh no ! i don't know what "theme" i want to go for ! i have like 2-3 drawings of a mod .. and i can't make up my mind .... (i got my stuf today :D .. the case comes tomorrow, and i buy a new cpu fan today :D golden orb II, my mainboard locks "tini" couse it's so BIG .. ! anyone help me .. cant deside theme :S

I need help ! i put all of my stuf i the new case today ... and i turned it on to test bf2 ... thene i realised it was NO sound at all ! PS: there is a little wire that stands sound on, it is one black and one red wire that goes in to an female contakt with 4 conektions on ! but im a noob so i dont know where to put it .. also i have a HP mainboard ... not so many options to put things :S
