I would like to know if is a way to turn the computer on & shut it down with a remote controler:::: IF so... HOW?

It can be done. Crimson Sky used an IR remote for some of the controls for the Doom3 project. The electronics involved in making it your on switch may or may not be tricky.

Other people on here know maor than I do about electronics so they should be able to help.
