Idea for my extra computer

I have an extra computer and nothing to do with it.
Its not a bad computer its stats are.
3.00Ghz intel p4
A Radeon 9250
80gig hd
512mb of ram
soundblaster live

What should i do with it.
I could sell it if anyone wants it

MOD IT! lol idk what you could do with that. Put some windows and fans and intakes and paintjobs and stuff like that on it.

Nah install linux on it and set it up as a home server and store all your most downloaded files on it. Or place it between your modem and your router and install linux on it and set it up as a cache machine where it acts like your browser chache where if the page hasn't being updated it fetches it from the computer rather than the net. This will save on your download limit and money as well.

You could give it away to charity they need computers all the time for underprvivalgied children who's parents can afford a computer for there child. As that's what my dad's company does.

I do that with old 500 mhz machines I recieve. Either that or I install something on them and make them my little slave boxes. I have an ftp server running on one and a hard@folding machine on another.

If you don't want to get rid of it, find a distributed computing cause you like, or just play around with it. It's always a nice thing to have a working computer that doesn't matter if you destroy the OS.
