Is it possible to put crossfire ready video cards into a SLI Ready Motheboard? I have an SLI mobo but I have Crossfire Ready Video Cards.... will it still work or no?

the answer is yes it will work. I have a fully working crossfire set up on a sli board.

You can run crossfire on a SLI motherboard, but I dont see why you would go out and buy a SLI motherboard to put ATI Crossfire cards in when the motherboard was designed for SLI.

i was under the impression that they used two entirely diffrent chip sets and did the communication between the two cards diffrent ways.

im sure it DOES work. neither company wants to see their multi-gpu system on the competitor's motherboard, but if they went and limited use to their own brand of chipset, that starts becoming a legal issue. that sort of stunt would be right up there with price fixing.

Crossfire will work on almost (Don't quote me on this :p ) any motherboard with dual PCI-E X16. Some are optimized for Crossfire and others aren't...

I did a little reading and i saw mixed results so it may depend on what mobo you have
