Well, this seemed the closest forum for this as there is no monitor forum.

As I've sold my main pc to a relative, monitor and all, I need a new one asap as I'm returning to college soon. I plan to order this week. Well, this will be for my main rig which is a work in progress (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3570&page=4) but I still need something for my secondary rig which I'll be using for school work until then and my old crt is just to big to bring back and forth.

So, unless I get good recomendations for something else, I'm looking at either 2 of the 2007WFP 20.1-inch Widescreen (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-4688) or one 2407WFP 24-inch Widescreen
(http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-4335)

This comp is going to be used for everything a pc generally does (gaming/movies/complex work/etc.) so I'm torn between the two option (as I often am ;p) and you guys input. As I plan to game as much as my time allows and the occasional movie night I'm kinda leaning towards the 24". But still, dual 20's offers alot more screen real-estate. ~3.5 Mpx vs only ~2.3 Mpx quantitatively.

If its going to school with you I'd suggest something cheap in case it gets stolen.

I think 2x20 would be cool otherwise.

Heh best college pickup line. "Wanna come back to my place and check out my dual monitors?"

Go with the 24" and use it as a tv also or plug your console if you have one in into it.

Heads up on this, most colleges won't let you do this, you'd have to pay for the desk/damages.

they make adhesive pads that you can attatch a lock too...
i got robed when i was away at school and they took most everything but my computer so yeah... i guess running down the hall with a large monitor, a large tower, and a couple game systems would be kinda hard

Hah rofl.

If your desk is heavy enough most people wont go to the effort to lift the desk. Also maybe you could loop the metal cable around one corner of the table under the leg and around the corner of it.

Maybe if you go away you could tie it to your bed.
