Not Bad but I'd think you'd agree the the X-FI is better. The X-FI gives you sorround sound on headphones.

i like sound.. i mainly listen to music on my amp.. don't use the surround output, but like to clone it.. sometimes i use the center/sub output to biamp my speakers.. but i don't use eax or other stuff like this, and i have a 24b/96Khz audigy (better than 16b/44-48Khz.. i know that and why)

i like the xfi too, but from a theoretical processing performance view only.. too dang expensive for me and my usage..

Q: whats the difference between earlier models (audigy) and newer ones(audigy4) from the sound point of view?.. not position processing and hardware acceleration.. but sound..

I have no friggin Idea. I have an Audigy 2 right now, And pretty soon for my newest rig im getting an X-FI

But probabley not much seeing how the Audigy 2 is still more expensive then the Audigy 4

I would rather get an X-fi too (XtremeMusic) but I don't see any current deals on that one. There was a deal that I posted earlier but it expired already...

Oh, on Creative's website, it says that the Audigy 4 has "CMSS-3D delivers amazing headphone-surround".
