Ok, Basicley I found this old case in the garbage, I took it. Thing is its yellow. The case has 4 peices. Sides, Front, Top. I painted everything but the front black becuase its metal. now since the front is plastic, Can my Gloss Paint work on that too? It did really nice on the metal, But I have to paint the front too.

Back a while ago, I used this silver paint on a plastic case, after 1 week it stillw asn't dry. I'm just asing, Should I paint the front with this paint, Or wait a few weeks until I have time to go to the hardware store and pick up some plastic paint?

Go with the plastic paint.. you'll be much happier with the end result I think.

I mean i'm not a paint junkie, I don't really care if the paint seems brighter, or thiker or anything, Long as its black.

I mean I also have a little bit of skill with painting aswell. I even off every layer so I don't have a big glob of **** over here and a little bit of paint there, I even it off wonderfully.

try the paint u have on one of the drive covers.. if it's the same plastic like the front.. see what happens.. if it doesn't work at all.. clean/sand it and in a couple of days/weeks u can use the plastic paint..

hmm.. but if u do want to be able to use the paint u have, use a layer of bondo b/w the paint and a sanded front panel :) and u can change it's shape too this way :)

I would do what dgrmkr suggested, try it first on a drive cover and see what happens. And if you don't have any availible drive covers, try the back of the panel.

If you can, I would definately use the paint you already used. I used no-name white paint on my case, and Krylon Fusion for the panel, and both are called "gloss white", but you can still see that they are different paints. Unless you are using like regular Krylon for the metal and Krylon Fusion for the front, you may have color matching problems too. It isn't too noticable, but you can tell.
