First Canadian Flugtag!

Well i hope all the Lower Main Landians made thier way to the first ever Red Bull Flugtag in Canada on Saturday. The Welcomers were scantily clad women dressed in flight attendant outfits. What a spectacular sight as 31 teams flew anything and everything they could find. Aircraft in the from of a chicken launching eggs to a 12' ghetto blaster, it didnt really matter what it was. Hosted by local celebrity and radio personallity Nira Arora and MTV's own Matte Babel. The stage was set as a north american Flugtag distance record was set. The Big Shooter team flew an astounding 86ft into vancouvers False Creek.

I saw this (or something like it) on TV once. I never really understood it... Is it kind of like a sport (like a fun made-up game)?

Yeah! Its meant to be fun. prizes are awarded to the winners. First place is pilot licence training or $3000. Red Bull must be making a huge fortune because they were selling Red Bull for $3 (no tax) and have beverage rights for the event.

I wouldnt mind signing up for next year. It would totally be a life altering experience.

Maybe i'll get a team of modders... Although, that could lead to some very intresting creative difrences. :D

i would so be in for that. a team with me on it is completely unstoppable... except for brick walls.

i cant believe i didnt even hear about this. seriously... youd think i would hear about it on the radio or something, but no... i apparently had my head up my ass for the past who knows how long.

anyways, ya, you and me buddy, we're taking this thing by storm next time, and if we dont win, we'll light something on fire. people will remember us one way or another.
