Hey guys
Recently modded my case and changed the exhaust fan and added an intake fan (didnt have one before). The fans i used are 92mm antec smartfans. I have connected the exhaust fan to a spare drive power thingy (sorry i dont know the name, can someone help me with that?) and the intake is connected to the mobo.
The problem comes when i want to start the PC up, the exhaust fan boots up fine but seems to run at full rpm all the time (doesnt bother me, its quiet), but the intake fan jutters and wont spin up, i need to spin it by hand.
A message also comes up on the screen telling me that a system fan has failed. If i swap the fan connections over then the other fan will do the same thing.
I tried plugging in my old exhaust fan into the mobo and it works perfect :?
Before you point it out, i have tried plugging both fans into a spare drive power thingy (:p) and they will both work then but the message will come up still.
If anyone has a possible solution i will be very grateful!
Thanks for the help guys, you lot are great
-Chris
