Golden Orb II

Hi guys

I have a HP media centre pc with ASUS P5LP-LE motherboard, the problem i have is that I want to fit a golden orb 2 fan that has a 3 pin motherboard power connector however the motherboard has a 4pin pwm connector, any ideas how I can get this fan to work?

It says cpu fan failed when plugged into the sys fan 3 pin motherboard skt.

i dont know what MB youre refering to, could you provide a link to a page with some specs? btw, i dont think the cpu fan connector on the motherboard is a 4 pin. its most likely a 3 pin, but if it is, try using the 3 pin for the sys fan and looking around the bios for a setting that talks about detecting if the cpu fan is spining, and disable it.
