I'm looking for a switch to replace the current one I have on The Tardis case I'm building. I just want a very simple one. I'd love to use the bulgin vandal switches but they will be too big. It can't be much more than 3cm wide.
Now, the only problem I have is my complete lack of understanding of electronics, circuit boards, resistors etc, but AFAIK all I need is a simple Push to Make switch. I'm thinking one like this: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=2495&criteria=push%20to%20make&doy=25m8
would that work, and how to I wire it up. I assume I just solder one wire to one contact, and the other to the other? Can I get them backwards, or will that blow it up?
